The purpose of this research was to describe the level and relationship mathematical problem solving students based on Adversity Quotient (AQ) year academic 2019/2020. metodology used questionnaires, tests, interviews. results showed that AQ 8th grade generally dominant at moderate (camper), is 23 (71.88%) from 32 who took questionnaire. In problems according Polya stage, are a high (climber) have abilities stage understand problem, devise carry out plans solve having with low look back. Students (campers) good levels ability (quitter) Based Spearman rank, it found there between students' ability, but classified as very only had an effect 1.21%. This because climbers not been able all stages Polya's well, habits rely memorizing formulas when facing math problems, habit discussing written tests take place which makes unable focus optimally in problems.
